Call for Submissions

Posted on January 31, 2019January 13, 2019 by Cabra

Hello Sweet Witches

Every time we step into circle together, we step into our power as co-creators of community and of the very world we live in. We create names, paint kinder futures, ballast a radical anger. One of the marvelous benefits of our work is that many of us find a deep well of creativity within ourselves. Writers, artists, explorers: the same qualities that craft our rituals make us fertile-minded. So now, I ask you all to go to your well. Go to your forge. Become the co-creator of community once more, and submit blog posts to Media Cell.

What are we looking for? A wide range of things. Poetry, short prose, essays, visual art, chants: even something as simple as a media recommendations are welcome. Poems should be no longer than 50 lines. Please keep all other writing below 5000 words. Visual artists are asked to submit no more than 5 images at a time. Recordings (audio and visual) should be no longer than 5 minutes. Content warnings will be placed on all relevant media, and media cell may hide some sensitive content behind a link if we feel it is needed. Please also remember that we are a clean and sober tradition when selecting the topics of your submissions.

How do you submit? Email reclaimingpgh@gmail.com

If you are having a hard time getting your creative fire going, look to the story for 2019 and share where you step into the myth. We are all excited to read, hear, or see what you have to bring to community.
